After graduating from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA in 2013 with a BA degree focused on Psychology, Rachel returned to her home of the SF Bay Area. Since then, her mask making pursuit has lead her to Mongolia for a three-month mask making apprenticeship, travels across the US for photography projects, facilitating mask making workshops, various group and solo exhibitions in the SF Bay Area, and more recently, collaborations with photographers, videographers, dancers and musicians for still and video pieces.
This piece functions as both a wearable mask and wall-hanging.
Clay, acrylic paint, sheep hide. Interior is foam wrapped in fabric, elastic and clasp for wall hanging purposes.
This mask weights 1 lb 7 oz.
