Chloe is an interdisciplinary placed-based artist. She works with local plants/plant waste to explore fibre arts and natural dye techniques. She also works as a teaching artist. Her work investigates how a community can deepen their connection to each other and place through skill sharing and collaborative learning. Growing up along the Columbia River in Oregon, Chloë developed a deep connection with place and landscape. In 2015 she received a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC with a focus in plant dyed textiles and weaving. Chloë is currently based in Portland, OR working as an interdisciplinary teaching and visual artist. Collaboration and community engagement are an essential part of her work. Chloë continues to build knowledge through her relationships with fellow artist and organizations including, EartHand Gleaners Society, Wildcraft Studio School and Rewild Portland.
